FORWARD is finally live.<\/p>
It feels good to say that. For a long time, there was always one more thing I wanted to get right before I could say it. A product photo to change, a bit of the website to tweak, another look at how it all came together. Then I put up the launch post and, for a minute, just let myself enjoy the fact that something I\u2019d had in my head was finally out in the world.<\/p>
Then came the question I\u2019d spent a lot less time thinking about. How do I get people to find it?<\/p>
Promoting a brand feels like murky water when you\u2019re new to it. You put a post out that you\u2019ve spent ages on, check it later and see it\u2019s reached one person. You wonder what to try next. More photos? A bit more about why I started? And how do I talk about something I care about without making every post sound like I\u2019m trying to sell you a T-shirt?<\/p>
The funny thing is, this is exactly why I built FORWARD in the first place.<\/p>
Progress over perfection is printed on one of our tees. It was easy enough to put those words on a shirt. They\u2019re a bit harder to live by when you\u2019ve put something out there and the response is quiet. But if I believe in them when I\u2019m designing the clothes, I\u2019ve got to believe in them on the days when I\u2019m working out how to get those clothes in front of people.<\/p>
Some days, moving forward meant getting the site ready to go live. Right now, it might mean sharing a photo I like, telling a bit more of the story or trying something different with the next post. I\u2019d love for more people to find FORWARD. I also want to be able to look back in a few months and see that I gave myself a chance to get better at this.<\/p>
So yes, the launch is done. I\u2019m proud I got it out there. And if you\u2019ve got something of your own that\u2019s taking a little longer to find its feet, I\u2019m right there with you.<\/p>
Whatever the pace, I\u2019m still moving forward.<\/p>
